You’re invited to celebrate the zoo’s 140th birthday!

Join us on Saturday 27 May from 9.30am – 5pm as we mark 140 years (and a few days) after we first opened our gates to the public. Adelaide Zoo will be holding the bestest and most furriest 140th birthday party in town.

There’s so much for all the family to enjoy!

  • Special keeper talks and animal enrichment with prizes
  • Time capsule unearthing and planting
  • Commemorative planting of a critically endangered tree
  • Free face painting
  • Lucky dips and door prizes for members
  • Food and drinks to purchase throughout the day
  • Guest appearance by Mr and Mrs Minchin!

And as a bonus, kids up to and including 14 years are free! Bring your family, friends and your animal-loving gang along for a day to remember and to celebrate.
